In 1983, when India lifted the Cricket World Cup, it was far more than a sporting triumph. It was a declaration — that India could stand tall among the best in the world, in sports, in science, in economy, in spirit. That victory planted a belief — that we can, and we will.
Yesterday’s ICC World Cup win carries a similar weight. As India marches toward its destiny as a global superpower, our women must rise as equal torchbearers of that journey. They must claim their rightful place in every field — for only then will our progress be complete. This victory will serve as a powerful inspiration for countless women to dream, to strive, and to lead.
A society truly flourishes when its women become its guiding light. They are the first teachers of every child — shaping hearts with culture, compassion, and wisdom. And one doesn’t need high degrees to nurture those values.
A society that fails to respect its women is one that walks toward its own ruin.
